anti-Asian immigration racial quotas and led to the dramatic growth of the Asian American population.

This dramatic growth in Asian immigration affected the Latinx immigration. This was specifically mentioned by Latino leaders and activists at a UCLA historical conference. It is an often overlooked consequence of the changes.
Powerful reminder it's only 57 years since the US passed the #ImmigrationAndNationalityAct eliminating these racial quotas. It took 22 MORE years after that 1943 repeal of #ChineseExclusionAct which only allowed 105 visas per year. Mind-boggling #SeeUsUnite #AAPI #HumanRights
